Welcome to 8th Grade Science!

8th grade science at Baines Middle School is sure to be exciting this year!  During the first part of the year, we will focus mainly on Earth science, including astronomy, moon phases, plate tectonics, and weather. The second semester will focus on physics as well as chemistry.

The Baines Middle School science department is also taking part in the iAchieve iPad Pilot Program this year.  Each science class will be equipped with a class set of iPads for students to use during science instruction throughout the year.  We are very excited about implementing this technology into our daily activities and look forward to the many opportunities students will have to expand their knowledge of science through electronic learning.
